A Celebration of the Life of Louise Hay

On 30 September 2010, Jordanhill Parish Church was packed for a service to celebrate the life of bto partner Louise Hay who died on 21 September 2010.

At the service, bto partner Derek Allan aptly summed up what Louise meant to those attending: “Louise was a valued colleague and true friend who will be sadly missed by the firm and all those who came in contact with her both in a professional and social context.”

Louise was highly regarded by the insurance sector in the field of personal injury. She focused particularly on complex catastrophic injury claims and was described by her clients as "always meticulously well prepared and a delight to work with."

Louise gained a First Class Honours Degree at Glasgow University and trained at McClure Naismith Anderson & Gardiner before joining Brechin Robb as a Civil Court Assistant in 1991. She became a Partner of Brechin Tindal Oatts on 1 February 1997 and made an invaluable contribution to the success of the firm over the succeeding years.

Louise will be fondly remembered by all her former partners, colleagues, clients and friends. Their thoughts are with her husband Craig, young son Jamie and the other members of her family.
