From 1 January 2012 new contract value thresholds apply and contracting authorities must put contracts out to tender if the following thresholds are met:

As before, these thresholds will apply for a 2 year period, changing next on 1 January 2014.
On this occasion they have increased due to exchange rate fluctuations.
