On 29 November 2011, Mabbett & Associates Ltd, Environmental Consultants & Engineers, and bto solicitors will join forces to provide a risk assessment briefing and mini-workshop “Protecting you, your business and your people – legal requirements and penalties.”
The focus of this event is to raise awareness of the responsibilities of directors and owners for conducting risk assessments in the workplace. The briefing will address the consequences of failure to comply with the law. Delegates will gain awareness of how to undertake a Risk Assessment and of recording, communication and training requirements. They will be informed of the business support available to their companies and of the potential penalties, such as claims, fines, imprisonment and director disqualification for non-compliance. Practical case studies and examples from industry will be highlighted during the workshop and audience participation encouraged.
Speakers at the event will include Omar Khalid, Health & Safety Manager at Mabbett, who will consider the practical aspects of risk assessments and the legal perspective will be covered by bto’s band 1 ranked Health & Safety team (Legal 500).
