In 2007, Clare Bone represented clients in nine Health & Safety prosecutions, six of those being prosecutions on indictment in Sheriff and Jury proceedings. In three of those cases, Clare was contacted a matter of days after the incident to represent the client’s interests in the HSE investigations.
Involvement in professional disciplinary work acting on behalf of medical practitioners and chiropractors, defending complaints made against them to the General Medical Council and General Chiropractic Council respectively.
Assisted an organisation in relation to employees suspected of committing fraud and embezzlement.
Raised civil proceedings to inhibit employees from disposing of their property pending investigation by the authorities.
Racalling a restraint order against a client under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 at the Court of Session.
Defending successfully both suppliers and sellers of toys and other products in respect of criminal proceedings raised against them by Trading Standards.
Acting on behalf of directors, sole traders and individuals, all facing investigation and prosecution for various health and safety offences.
Advising in relation to the parallel importing of goods into the EU.
Advising in relation to the "CE marking" Regulations.
Advising in relation to liability under the Data Protection Act.
Acting on behalf of Chartered Accountants facing disciplinary proceedings before the Institute of Chartered Accountants for Scotland.
