Regularly involved in defending individuals in respect of road traffic prosecutions brought under the Road Traffic Act 1988. Have also acted for a number of companies facing charges under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986.

Successfully defending both suppliers and sellers of toys and other products in respect of criminal proceedings raised against them by Trading Standards.

Acting for a company facing investigation by the Marine and Coastguard Agency, resulting in no criminal proceedings being brought against that company.

Acting on behalf of doctors, chiropractors and other professionals facing prosecutions in the Sheriff Court.

Acting on behalf of directors, sole traders and individuals, all facing investigation and prosecution for various health and safety offences.

Involvement in professional disciplinary work, acting for the Law Society of Scotland’s professional indemnity insurers, as well as acting on behalf of medical practitioners, defending complaints made against them to the General Medical Council.

Involvement in SEPA/environmental investigations.
