Catherine is a Solicitor Advocate with extended rights of audience in the House of Lords, Privy Council and the Court of Session. She has over 20 years’ experience in the area of reparation, principally for defenders acting for insurers. She deals with large value personal injury claims, road traffic claims, employers’ liability, product liability and public liability in both the sheriff court and Court of Session. 

Catherine has a particular interest in cases arising out of the construction industry and a growing practice of cases brought under the Package Tour Regulations. Catherine has also developed a practice in property claims, both defending and pursuing recoveries, for insurers.

Catherine also acts for insurance companies representing their interests and those of their policyholders at Fatal Accident Inquiries. Catherine is a member of FOIL (Forum of Insurance Lawyers).
