Carly Forrest is an Associate within our Insurers’ Representation team.  She has also recently qualified as a Solicitor Advocate and has extended rights of audience in the Court of Session, Privy Council and the House of Lords.

Carly has experience in dealing with Health & Safety prosecutions, including carrying out immediate post accident investigations and liaising with the police and HSE officials, advising clients at the pre prosecution stage and at fatal accident inquiries as well as dealing with any civil claims arising thereafter. Her client base includes companies, charities and individuals.

She is also responsible for a varied caseload involving both Court of Session and Sheriff Court actions. She is an experienced litigator who has defended claims for insurance clients for a number of years. Carly represents clients in all aspects of personal injury claims with particular expertise in higher value motor, employers' liability and public liability claims.

Carly is the editor of bto’s Insurance Newsletter bto Insight and presents both external and internal seminars on a regular basis. She is also a member of the Society of Solicitor Advocates.
