Bank Holidays (Employment News, January 2007)

A change that is likely to have a major impact on employers is the proposed increase in holiday entitlement for employees. At present, employees are entitled to 4 weeks’ holiday each year. The Government’s proposal is to increase holiday entitlement on a phased basis but further consultation is to take place regarding these changes – watch this space!
