Increase in Compensation Limits (Employment News, January 2009)
From 1 February 2009, an increase in compensation limits for tribunal claims takes effect. The main changes are:
- The maximum value of a week’s pay will be increased from £330 to £350.
- The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will increase from £63,000 to £66,200.
The increase in the value of a week’s pay also affects the calculation of statutory redundancy pay.
