Event description :
In the current economic climate it is essential that staff are able to work together effectively and efficiently. Given the difficulties encountered by some employers, it is crucial to ensure that staff are contributing to the highest possible standard. In any event, all employers want to ensure that they get the best out of all staff. This session will examine some of the practical issues that employers can, and should, be considering to maximise staff performance. The session will consider:
- What steps can be taken to manage staff performance?
- What should be done if performance is not at a satisfactory level?
- Can a dismissal for “poor performance” be fair and, if so, how?
- How can employees who “go off sick” when their performance is challenged be managed?
- How should disabled employees’ performance be managed?
- What practical tips are there in managing performance at work?
This session will provide some useful pointers in dealing with performance management at work and highlight some of the significant legal and practical issues arising. In addition to examining the legal issues, the session will look at case studies to highlight how the issues should be properly dealt with. This session is vital for any employer who wants to maximise the potential from all employees. No employer can afford to miss it!
