We are aware that there are some instances where court intervention is necessary, such as child abduction, protective orders and where we need to seize jurisdiction. In such cases we aim to provide the same value driven advice whilst being tenacious litigators. We are members of Mackrell International, IACP and IAML and as such can obtain urgent advice from experienced family lawyers around the world to enable us to make fast decisions as to which jurisdiction you should litigate in.

We are experienced in both the Sheriff Courts and the Court of Session. We have litigated in some of the highest profile, complex cases in Scotland and have access to the best advocates.

In addition to being experts in family law, we have an additional specialism in child law and have had extensive experience in acting for children, adoption, surrogacy, contact, residence, grandparents rights and child support issues.

Increasingly, much of our work is preventative. We are regularly instructed in many Pre Nuptial /Pre Civil Partnership Agreements and Cohabitation Agreements in order to ensure that personal wealth including property and interests in family businesses are protected.
