Regulatory Including GMC

The fitness to practise of health professionals is an increasingly contentious area. bto’s medical team has built up considerable expertise representing doctors, chiropractors and other health professionals summoned by their regulatory bodies to answer complaints or concerns about their suitability to practise.

bto has defended successfully health professionals in regulatory proceedings which can arise following workplace disputes with their employers or colleagues and complaints from patients and other members of the public.

Clare Bone, Partner and head of our Criminal Advocacy team, has appeared at all stages of the General Medical Council’s disciplinary procedure from hearings of the Interim Orders Panel to the final hearings of the Fitness to Practise Panel, both in London and Manchester. Clare also has experience of the General Chiropractic Council and was recently instructed to appeal a decision of the Council to the Court of Session in Scotland.
