Since 3 August 2009, planning applications that are allocated as “Local” within the hierarchy of applications are decided by planning officers under delegated authority.
If you are an applicant and want to appeal against a refusal of your Local planning application, or against the imposition of a particular condition (or conditions) placed on planning permission, then your appeal will be heard by a Local Review Body.
Each planning authority’s Local Review Body will be made up of Councillors, advised by officers, where appropriate, and detailed procedures for a hearing will vary from one authority to another.
bto can assist you to navigate this process. We will ensure that your position is supported by all the relevant evidence and is stated comprehensively and strongly to the Local Review Body.
