Planning authority decisions that are open to appeal, particularly those relating to:
- refusal of permission
- the imposition of conditions on permission and
- some enforcement actions
may be dealt with through a written submission procedure (rather than by public inquiry).
bto has experience in framing written submissions for appeals, often in conjunction with our clients’ other consultants. An appeal by this method should put forward, with the application for appeal, a case which is as comprehensive as possible because subsequent opportunities to put forward more detailed evidence can be limited.
