Trade Marks

A company's trade name and logo define the organisation and distinguish its products from competitors.  For example, the Nike swoosh.  A business can take years of effort to build a good name and reputation.  Therefore, the company name and the goodwill generated by the name are highly valuable assets.

We can advise and assist in the registration process for new trade marks and advise you in relation to the protection of already registered marks.

The team can also undertake litigation in the event of  infringement of  your mark, or  where someone else alleges infringement by you. Nowadays colours, smells and sounds can also be registered as trade marks - even Tarzan's Yell (or rather the musical notation of it)!
