Jacqueline is a partner in our employment team dealing with all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Employment Law.
Jacqueline is well known for her practical approach to finding solutions for clients and advising on strategic employment matters. Jacqueline advises a range of employers across a number of sectors including education, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, charities and sport. “She has a wide-ranging employment law practice. Alongside advising on significant transactional employment cases, she often represents clients in contentious matters.” (Chambers UK).
Jacqueline regularly advises on re-organisation and redundancy, dismissal, discrimination, performance management, ill health absence, senior executive severance and employment contract and HR policy review.
Jacqueline works closely with our corporate and commercial teams advising on TUPE and the employment aspects of acquisitions and business transfers to ensure staff matters are handled appropriately as part of the wider business transaction. “Her service is prompt and her advice sound. Jacqueline also enjoys advising employees and senior executives on the full spectrum of employment law issues, including settlement agreements and exit packages. She therefore sees the issues from both sides.
Jacqueline represents clients in the employment tribunals throughout Scotland and in the employment appeal tribunal, acting for both employers and employees.
