Muneeb qualified as a solicitor with BTO in 2017. He specialises in Commercial Dispute Resolution, Data Protection Defence and Technology and Intellectual Property.
Much of his work focuses on helping clients comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the new General Data Protection Regulation. Muneeb also advises on technology and software contracts, as well as copyright and trademark matters. As part of BTO’s Commercial Dispute Resolution team, he acts for a variety of clients in commercial disputes, both in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session. He has regularly appeared in Sheriff Courts all across Scotland.
Muneeb also qualified as an Advocate in Pakistan in 2015, where he worked for one of the Country’s leading technology and intellectual property law firms. During his time in South Asia he advised a wide range of national and multinational companies and financial institutions on software and technology contracts, merchant acquiring operations and card payment technologies. Notably, Muneeb was part of the legal team that brought the first Near Field Communication (NFC) based contactless payments service to Pakistan in 2015.
