Property Recoveries
BTO’s Property Recoveries team has over 25 years’ experience in advising major lending institutions on the recovery of loans to both individuals and businesses.
We specialise in the stabilisation or recovery of secured debt at an acceptable cost. We advise on how best to handle recovery cases and supply a streamlined, effective service for both residential and commercial heritable security holders.
Lenders will receive advice on the best course to adopt to regularise overdue loan payments. If the loan repayments cannot be brought back on course, prompt action can be taken by the team to realise any available security and release its value to the lender.
Where commercial loans are concerned, advice on receivership, administration and insolvency is also available. In the case of mortgage recovery, BTO is one of the few firms in Scotland with expertise in recovering property subject to Shared Ownership mortgages. The expanding team who work exclusively in this area is supported by excellent case management systems to facilitate the smooth handling of repossession sales.
