Author Contracts
Having the right form of author contract in place is vital for both the publisher and the author. Some of the important issues which should be addressed in the contract are:
- The scope of the rights conferred by the contract Licence of copyright
- Provisions for subsidiary rights
- Indemnification against libel / defamation
- Payments, royalties and advances
