Construction & Property Litigation Solicitor
BTO Solicitors LLP’s Construction & Engineering Team are seeking a Construction & Property Litigation Solicitor at the 3-5 years PQE level to join the growing team of construction litigation lawyers.
The Team act for a range of major multinational clients and the matters they deal with are often leading edge. Working directly with the Partners in the team, you will receive a varied and exciting caseload. The role primarily involves acting on behalf of insurers and their insureds, including employers, contractors, professional consultants and subcontractors, on an expansive range of construction disputes, involving liability defence and subrogated recoveries in what is a broad and diverse area of the law.
Role includes advising clients on all aspects of construction disputes, including strategic advice; contractual advice; and advice regarding insurance policy issues. Where required, they will require to raise and defend Sheriff Court and Court of Session actions, adjudications, mediation, and arbitration. As a UK qualified solicitor, you will have a strong client focused approach and be a motivated and conscientious team player. You will be used to working with insurers and/or the construction industry. Experience in Property/Construction Insurance Litigation or Contentious Construction is essential. Further training will be provided.
