bto entered two enthusiastic teams in the 2012 EMF Team Relay Marathon on 27 May. The runners smashed through their sponsorship target and have raised an impressive £1140 for CHAS with further sums being pledged.
bto kick-started its 2012 fundraising efforts for CHAS with a home baking day on St. Valentine’s Day at which bto personnel raised a total of £710.
The fastest of the teams gained an impressive time of 04:05:45, arriving 297th out of the 701 teams who participated. The winning team consisted of (left to right) Calum Sweeney (litigation), Jennifer Kimble (Employment), Cara Docherty (Clinical Defence) and Richard Stewart (Litigation).
Ann O’Connell, Chair of bto’s CSR Committee, said: “A big thank you to everyone for their generosity and efforts at making the relay marathon and baking days such a success for CHAS.
We were encouraged by the overwhelming response and funds raised last year for the Eve Appeal and aim to provide the same support for CHAS.”
