On 4 February 2010, the Scottish Government published a new, consolidated Scottish Planning Policy (SPP) which replaces more than 20 of their previous land use policy documents.
The new SPP therefore covers issues such as housing, renewable energy, flooding, town centres, waste management, natural heritage, transport, green belts, fish farms and more and will impact on many planning matters in one way or another.
