Position: Legal Secretary
Location: Commercial Dispute Department, Glasgow

We require a pro-active, motivated and organised individual to provide support to busy fee earners within the Commercial Dispute Team. Experience within a legal firm is essential.

Daily tasks include:

  • Digital dictation (BigHand)
  • Typing correspondence and legal paperwork
  • Liaising with clients and handling day to day queries
  • Collating and organising legal paperwork
  • Producing, amending and proof reading formal documents
  • Diary management and arranging appointments
  • Answering incoming calls and taking messages
  • Processing all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Filing and undertaking regular file reviews including opening and closing files
  • Fee preparation upon instruction, ensuring all billing requirements are accurately recorded
  • Any other secretarial duties

The successful candidate will be able to produce correspondence and documents to a high standard, have an excellent telephone manner and be adaptable and proactive in their approach to their duties.

Administration Assistant - Part time role (2 days per week)
Location - Glasgow

We are looking for an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our busy Glasgow office.  The successful candidate should be extremely organised, highly motivated and have experience working in a busy professional office.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills are also required for this post.

Duties will include

  • Photocopying, printing, scanning, faxing, laminating, binding and filing.
  • Assist secretaries and paralegals to create correspondence files, maintain and keep filing up-to-date.
  • Assist in archiving file process.
  • Maintains and orders stationery supplies.
  • Answering queries.
  • Collecting and distributing internal mail.
  • Reception and switchboard duties (if required) e.g. to cover breaks, lunches, illness and holidays etc.
  • General administration support activities which may include specialised tasks.
