Following the achievement of six band 1 rankings in the 2010 edition of The Legal 500, and its insolvency team moving up a tier, bto is delighted to report that Associate Kirsteen Maclean has gained the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (Scotland) qualification from the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association (IPA).
The CPI is a respected qualification, one which very few Scottish lawyers possess, and one which will provide added value and expertise to the clients whom Kirsteen represents. Kirsteen advises a range of business clients, including large and small companies, Insolvency Practitioners and Financial Institutions. Her qualification demonstrates a thorough working knowledge, not only of the theory of insolvency law in Scotland, but also the many practical situations which this area of law throws up.
The IPA course covered every aspect of Corporate Insolvency including Liquidations, Administrations, Receiverships and Company Voluntary Arrangements, as well as Personal Insolvency - Sequestrations and Trust Deeds.
Willie Young, bto’s Chairman, said: “We are delighted with Kirsteen’s achievement which will strengthen bto’s position in the insolvency sector.”
